About Him
I believe that we lead an incredibly privileged life in South Africa. The great thing about our country - if you are someone who can look past the headlines - is that you don't have to look far to find something exceptional. Where else in the world do you have the sunshine, the natural beauty and the opportunities - just a few minutes out of town - to sit in a boat on a picturesque dam, watch a sail billowing above you and see a green shoreline waiting for you to return. Every weekend is a holiday to me - a time to relax, refresh myself, and enjoy good conversation and time with friends.
That, I guess, sums me up. I prefer to look on the sunny side of things; spend time with people who mean something to me and just forget about divorce, politics and the things that distract us every day.
When I look in the mirror, I see hair that is probably a bit longer than is currently fashionable - a touch of grey that is fashionable, skin that shows that I spend time in the sun and the wrinkles that I hope reflect my personal preference to smile rather than frown.
What I'm saying, is that I am comfortable with what I am and who I am. I may have had ups and downs, and of course successes. But, that's life, isn't it. The skill comes in leaving what is done in the past and looking forward to things to come!
