About Him
My friends say I'm a friendly, confident extrovert, with a sense of humour, but also have a serious side. Like to think I'm a “thorough gentleman”. Still believe in opening doors and pulling chairs out for a lady.
Am comfortable with who I am and everything that goes with it.
Interests:
Love social dancing (don’t claim to be a good dancer but always set out to make things enjoyable for partner and myself. Be prepared to let your hair down like I do!!).
Not crazy about movies but would enjoy watching with someone who obviously does Say about once a month. Dancing about 2 or 3 times a month.
Hobby: handyman work around the house.
Very active, so exercise a lot and play sport. Not a great sport watcher but love participating. Run my own “steeplechase course” for about 30 minutes; 4 times a week, followed by a few lengths in the pool, so supremely fit.
Partying. Love parties.
Dining out. Not a food connoisseur, but love sharing a bottle of wine at a steak house; Chinese restaurant or my favourite: J. ‘s Taverna & Oyster Bar.
Music. Seldom sit & listen to music but love to have it in the background. Love all Pop music from the mid 50’s to the present. Like light classical music, but not heavy classics or rap.
Sport. (Some bright moments). Athletics photo’s. Represented South Africa at the Veterans’ Olympics in Durban a few years back, a truly international event. Took part in mens’ over 50: 100 m sprint and 100 m high hurdles. First photo shows yours truly finishing the 100 m sprint. Eyes closed or not, the satisfaction of earning the right to participate in Green & Gold must rank as one of the proudest moments of my life. Came last in that heat!! but it didn’t matter. Green & Gold was mine. Fared much better in the hurdles. Reached the semi-finals and ended up the fastest S. African. Second photo shows me waving to my daughter in the grand stand after finishing the hurdles semi-final.
