About Him
Enjoy life and living, travelling, my kids grown up and moved on, divorced 13 years, recent long term relationship of 6 years is over, looking to move on and enjoy the company of a well spoken and well groomed woman. Look after myself by going to gym. I have no financial issues and live comfortably but have zero interest in any gold diggers. Getting tired of my staffie on the bed with me and need some changes in this department :-). Enjoy overlanding with my beat up Landrover Defender that I have had for 20 years. Otherwise prefer travelling with a backpack and exploring. Not a hotel person. I am extremely honest and require no less in my partner. Oh yes and I have a halfway decent sense of humour. guess I am a romantic and love holding hands with that special person. I usually pull out a chair in a restaurant and open doors for my partner (just not car doors for some reason? maybe the distance and effort of walking around the car? :-) so not perfect in this department. Not perfect in any department actually, I screw up occasionally but where this happens I go out of my way to make things right. Just so that an incorrect impression has not been created by the last sentence: My screw ups do not include screwing around if I am in a relationship.
About His Ideal Match
My ideal partner should be well groomed and (reasonably) well spoken, although I am not adverse to the occasional swearword - but nothing worse than a constant pottie mouth. She should share similar interests to mine as mentioned elsewhere in my profile. Not interested in a couch potatoe or a gold digger. Kids are not a deal breaker but I have no intention of looking after someone else's children at this late stage of my life: I enjoy kids but my time of looking after kids has come and gone (my son is 19 and my daughter 24 and they are both independant) and I am looking to get out there and do many other things. Non-smokers only. No problem with alcohol as long as in moderation, although I have been known to go on a bender once or twice in my life :-) but not very often and I always behave myself after a drink or 3 and require same. My libido is still pretty decent for a 55 year old and I would require at least some sort of interest in this from a future partner (sounds bad if I include this I suppose but maybe best to just get it out there...:-). I can be very direct sometimes. :-) My ideal partner should be honest, loyal and trustworthy (this last comes over time) as I myself am. She should be financially self-sufficient. Having said this I am generous to a fault and do not require split bills/ expenses or split anything else. I have no requirement for any funding from my ideal partners side but I mention it just for the reason that I do not want to be burdened with someone else's financial problems in their hope that I am going to wave a magic wand and solve them: It won't happen.
