About Him
I'm a healthy, easy-going, fun, quirky (oh, yes!), energetic, intelligent (former university maths lecturer), expressive, emotionally literate man who can recite a lot of poetry - I love poetry. I dress well - and by that I mean I have a great collection of sexy jeans. I live alone in a valley on the edge of a forest & I frigging love life.
I'm still interested in advanced mathematics, and am working on some stuff across a couple of mathematical disciplines. BTW, do you know that there is more than one infinity? In fact there are infinitely many of them, and they are distinct, and you can 'do the math' on them. MIndblowing stuff ... 'The universe is not only stranger than we imagine - it is stranger that we CAN imagine.' Over good food and a glass of good red wine, I like 'attempting the imagining ...'
I have been told that I am 'an uninitiated mystic.' I'll take that. I have a deep fascination with the numinous (*look it up :), and love to have extended conversations with friends to explore what is out there, and what can be known. I don't have much interest in having to be right (and thus prefer 'dialogue' to debate - let's take what you know, or understand or sense might be true, and add to it my stuff, and put it in the blender and see where we get to.)
I get nuance and texture, and am an ongoing student of what it means to be expressive and responsive.
One more: I believe in being serious about the important things, but I don't take myself too seriously. I have some strong opinions, lightly held.
