About Him
I guess that at my age one needs to be mature about relationships, we have probably all had our share of disappointment and I hear that many of you girls are tired of guys who play games. Well not all guys are like that and there are still some around who have honour, integrity and respect.
So why me, well : -
I'm of sober habits but not averse to letting loose a bit if the mood calls for it, I'll take my punishment the following day and certainly won't be doing it again for a while.
I have my own business and have been relatively successful. I'm responsible, reliable, well mannered and not inclined to mess people around. I like to get away when possible and equally enjoy the coast or the bush, camping has its place as much as 5 star hotels or anything in between. Fishing and Golf are my pastimes of choice and my partner is welcome to join in these activities but if you don't want to thats also cool.
My friends say I'm quite intelligent and witty but sometimes a "bit rough around the edges", I'm not entirely sure what they mean by that but it doesn't seem too bad.
Any baggage I may have acquired over the years is all in control, I have a great relationshipwith my kids, they are quite grown up now but I really enjoy my time with them when they visit.
I try to take care of myself and gym out of necessity not because I particularly enjoy it. I have a somewhat limited vocabulary in the kitchen but try to eat healthily although I find it difficult to get motivated when cooking for one.
So, I am not on this site to mess anyone around and I'm not a "player". I am looking for a relationship and I am sincere.

Other than that I have no hard and fast rules but this site allows me to set out my "wish list" so here goes : -
Being a bit old fashioned I have always thought that my partner would be a few years younger than me so I guess late 40's early to mid fifties is the mark. I also don't know if long distance relationships can work so she will probably be from Gauteng.
Defining qualities include intelligence, compassion, humility and plain common decency.
Have a sense of humour and be able to laugh at yourself, don't take life too seriously and know how to chill out.
Its great if you are successful in your chosen field but remember where you started and that being successful doesn't mean you are allowed to be bossy. Be as comfortable in evening dress (that cute little black number that all girls have) as you would be in jeans and T shirt.
This is now sounding like a shopping list so quickly to finish.
Have no problem with kids and I would guess that if you have your own they are well into their teens or twenties by now. Be comfortable with animals, enjoy travel, the beach and the bush. Take care of yourself physically and mentally and have pride in your appearance.
Really just being normal and nice would be a great start.
