About Him
A friend once said, 'Even though at first quiet and unassuming Mark has a genuine appreciation of people', which means, I suppose, I am shy until I get to know someone. Although I tend to be pensive and thoughtful, I am also lighthearted, even irrepressible and exuberant.
I place high value on family and friends.
I trained postgraduate as an economist and ended up in IT. I enjoy the challenges my career provides but I would ideally like to work with my hands or as a political analyst. I have also discovered, quite late, that I miss working more with people.
I am an exercise and sport-loving person. I also enjoy the time I can spend with friends, away for the weekend, at a club, having a braai or watching a movie. I, however, also often need to find time to be alone.
I am quite happy and content with who I am but dislike that I am shy around strangers. I wish I were more outgoing and I am working at being more so.
I have enjoyed the freedom of being single but have found in the last few years that I am bored with being alone.
