About Him
I've been around the block, experienced the good and bad in people, and still believe there is a sincere, unpretentious lady out there with whom to be a buddy, lover, soul-mate, confidante & life companion.
I have enjoyed overseas travel in a previous life and so have no desire to "travel the world". Thoroughly enjoy the bush and outdoors, birding and all nature in general but I don't get out enough. Moderate sports interest (boks, proteas). Sense of humour is present and accounted for.
I am:
* Stable, open-minded, clean, calm, balanced and own my own home, vehicle, etc. if that's important to you.
* Independent and answer to no one.
* Have few priorities in life, but would like to make my lady a priority.
* Weary of this internet dating with the un-ending e-mails and few results.
* Articulate, competent, can cook and repair/service cars, in fact relatively handy all round guy.
* Serious about finding a like-minded lady to share and enjoy life and intimacy with.
* Sure that there are women out there with the same desires as me. Women seem to be 'hit on' on these dating sites by men of dubious intent and questionable morals, all of which makes it difficult for a normal guy like me to find a normal lady.
I am not:
* an axe-murderer, stalker of beautiful maidens or all round bad guy,
* Willing to play endless games with indecisive women too afraid to take a chance [Nothing ventured, .....],
* Looking for a lady who needs to be "kept". If it's a man who's "wealthy" or a "fat-cat" you're looking for, he's not me.
* Tolerant of players and people who cannot string english words together to form a proper sentence. The odd spelling mistake is sure to creep in, but you get my drift. Teenage SMS/text abbreviated speak ain't cool at our age.
A few years ago I acquired a bike (as in motor-), and so enjoy weekends out and about. It's a calm touring bike not a crotch-rocket.
PS. I do enjoy good coffee, even better when mixed with good company 😋.

Here's a stab in the dark..............
I am looking (in a utopian world) for a confident, mature, unpretentious and open-minded lady who is looking for similar attributes in a man. Good morals and a strong sense of responsibility are important. I am not a PRUDE (far from...), but hanker back to the days of my youth when good old fashioned values counted for something, and sexual images and innuendo weren't everywhere you looked and/or listened, and intimacy was confined to places of privacy. My lady would have a similar outlook. No hang-ups, weird behaviour or deviant, anti-social habits, this is non-negotiable. Preferably a lady who likes the quiet braai get together to the "dance yourself into cardiac arrest" party. I don't dance, and make no excuses therefor. A sense of humour is important, and the ability to see the "funny side" of awkward situations always helps. Hair, colour of eyes, etc. are all secondary. Honest, genuine and looking to make life a little easier by sharing the load. (There is strength in "two-getherness", just ask any trade union 😉)
Hey, what I want is ultimately academic, chemistry and an alignment of values would be a good place to start. I'll settle for sensible.....
However, a few pet dislikes in other people include gambling, dishonesty, invertebrate behaviour and the overt pursuit of materialism (or in modern day speak, "conspicuous consumption"). Did I mention dishonesty...?
